A well-equipped recovery kit is essential for safe and stress-free off-road travel. At a minimum, every 4WD should carry recovery tracks, a snatch strap, rated bow shackles and a shovel. These items help you get out of sand, mud or soft ground without damaging your vehicle. For added safety and convenience, it’s also worth packing leather gloves, a dampener blanket, a tyre pressure gauge and a reliable UHF radio for communication.
